Daihatsu Dan Perodua Akan Terus Menyokong Perodua Malaysia Masters Sehingga 2021

Kesinambungan kerjasama ini bertujuan untuk terus menghidangkan pertandingan badminton berkualiti tinggi di rantau ini dan membangunkan bakat yang baharu.

Perodua Malaysia Masters akan menjadi acara pertama dalam kalendar HSBC World Tour Super 500. Kejohanan USD 400,000 ini akan berlangsung dari 7 hingga 12 Januari 2020 dan akan menjemput pemain terbaik ke Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

Peminat boleh melihat pakar beregu campuran Goh Liu Ying-Chan Peng Soon dan bintang-bintang baharu memasuki arena untuk mempamerkan gabungan eklektik pemuda dan pengalaman di hadapan orang ramai.

Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur (20 November 2019) – Daihatsu and Perodua have officially announced today that the regional automotive giants will continue to sponsor the Perodua Malaysia Masters for another two more years.

The Perodua Malaysia Masters will be the first event on the HSBC World Tour Super 500 calendar. The USD 400,000 tournament will take place from 7-12 January 2020 and will invite the best shuttlers to the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

With the renewal of the partnership, Daihatsu and Perodua will continue to cement their commitment to develop the badminton scene in Malaysia and promise to deliver an amazing tournament experience for fans.

Daihatsu, Perodua and the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) also aim to use the exposure and fanfare from the tournament to grow the sport of badminton from the grassroots level. The ever long partnership extension between Daihatsu, Perodua, and the BAM will only continue to strengthen the bond and ambition between young badminton players in Malaysia and the sport.

“Perodua is incredibly passionate about badminton and as a People First company, fully embraces all efforts to help youth grow in the sport,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.

“With the successful completion of the second year of our Badminton Talent Development Programme and world-class broadcast coverage of the 2020 Perodua Malaysia Masters – made all the more significant as we approach the 2020 Tokyo Olympics – I am sure our youth will be inspired and encouraged to realise their sporting potential,” he added.

Fans can expect to see the likes of mixed doubles specialists Goh Liu Ying-Chan Peng Soon and up-and-coming starlets to enter the arena to showcase the eclectic blend of youth and experience in front of the home crowd.

“We are delighted to have world-class players showcasing their best to vie for the coveted Perodua Malaysia Masters title. It will surely elevate the stature of the tournament,” said BAM President Dato’ Sri Norza Zakaria.

“Backed by a strong home support at Axiata Arena, our players will look to improve on their one podium finish in 2019,” added Norza.
