Tiguan yang disemak semula tampan harus menjadi satu lagi kegemaran.

Volkswagen Tiguan yang sedang dijual di Malaysia, ‘Allspace’ dengan tiga baris tempat duduk dilancarkan pada 12 Ogos 2020 sementara model facelift global bersama dengan varian ‘R’ telah diperlihatkan sebelumnya pada 2 Julai 2020, yang masih belum diperkenalkan ke Malaysia.

Harga dari RM165k, SUV keluarga ini bersaing dengan Mazda CX-8 yang berharga dari RM180k dan Peugeot 5008 yang berharga dari RM166k.

Semua SUV yang disebutkan di atas dipasang secara tempatan dan mempunyai ciri mesra keluarga dan peralatan keselamatan terbaik segmen.

Kini muncul berita dari Volkswagen Group bahawa ada Tiguan yang disemak semula di bilik pameran Eropah dan Amerika Utara bulan ini, yang bermaksud model semasa yang dijual di Malaysia mungkin akan basi dalam beberapa bulan mendatang. Tiguan terbaharu ini ditandai sebagai model 2022 dan dari perincian yang diberikan nampaknya ia hanya facelift dan tidak lebih dari itu.

Pemilik VW Tiguan semasa di Malaysia tidak perlu bimbang tentang kehilangan nilai pada SUV mereka yang berusia kurang dari satu tahun kerana sekilas pandang yang disemak semula model 2022 dan pejabat Volkswagen tempatan tidak akan tergesa-gesa melancarkan versi ini sekurang-kurangnya satu tahun atau lebih.

On the outside, the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan keeps its iconic look, but sharpens it with a completely revised front end. A distinctive bumper and broad grille are complemented by standard LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs), and can be accented further by an available illuminated light line flanking the VW logo. 

The distinctive side profile of the Tiguan remains with its strong character line carrying from the front fender through to the standard LED taillights. Newly centered Tiguan lettering on the rear matches Volkswagen family styling from the Arteon sportback. 

The 2022 Tiguan will be available in eight exterior colors-including new Oryx White and Kings Red Metallic.

Inside, the Volkswagen Tiguan boasts updated technology throughout its cabin. The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit instrument cluster now comes standard with an 8-inch display. 

Comfort and convenience features get an upgrade as well. R-Line models get a leather-wrapped steering wheel with touch islands and sliders. Additional available features include leatherette or leather seating surfaces, power driver and passenger seats, panoramic sunroof, Fender Premium Audio, and 15-color ambient lighting.

The IQ.DRIVE driver assistance suite will be standard on all but the base model. IQ.DRIVE includes Front Assist (Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring), Active Side Assist (Blind Spot Monitor), Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Assist (Lane Keeping System), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Stop and Go, Travel Assist (semi-automated driving assistance), and Emergency Assist (semi-automated vehicle assistance in a medical emergency). 

Other available driver assistance technologies include Light Assist (High Beam Control for headlights), Park Assist (Parking Steering Assistant), and Dynamic Road Sign Recognition.

The 2022 VW Tiguan will be powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder EA888 TSI engine, which puts out 184 horsepower and 299Nm of torque, delivered from just 1,600 rpm. This Tiguan will have an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth power delivery.
